I'll admit, after hearing he was a bedroom indie musician, I wasn't expecting a whole lot, since I've pretty much seen and heard it all when it comes to homegrown indie. Or so I thought.
There must be something in the potatoes up there, because Mr. Powers is leaking artistic talent. The melodies, the hooks, the reverb... oh god, the reverb. It's the sweet spot of muddiness and catchiness that gets my groove going.
