The Beat.It project is a compilation of forward thinking beat craftspeople from Italy. As the Outsourced series has taught us, there's very few areas of the globe where experimental and creative beats aren't being churned out.
Elements of funk, glitch, skweee, wonky, oldschool hip-hop and just about any other beat origin can be found combined throughout the compilation in glorious fashion. I have to admit I haven't heard much of the Italian beat scene before now, and to say I'm impressed would be an understatement. There is definitely something for everyone in this compilation.
